    An ancient strand of natural genuine not-dyed, untreated precious red coral beads. These coral beads were introduced into Yemen centuries back (200-300 years ago) and have been apart of Yemeni tribal jewelry. Red coral was seen as part of wealth in tribal society and valued in the same category as gold. Red coral also played an important role in status as well as in payment for dowry to the bride.
